Our CEO, Tyson Tuttle, earned the glory of being named 2013 Inventor of the Year by the Austin Intellectual Property Law Association at the end of last year. This prestigious award was announced at the Association’s annual Federal Judges Appreciation dinner in Austin on Dec. 10, which was attended by Austin’s federal district court and magistrate judges. A Texas Supreme Court justice was also in attendance when Mr. Tuttle accepted the award and discussed the mixed-signal design innovation that is driving Silicon Labs’ global business. Mr. Tyson currently is a named inventor of more than 70 issued patents covering inventions applicable to modems, cell phones, RF transceivers and tuners. His innovation at Silicon Labs, which spans from 1997 to the present, has contributed to Silicon Labs’ industry reputation as a global leader in mixed-signal semiconductor products.
