At the end of the day, it’s not about how you run, it’s about your experience. Take pride in wherever you finish because you have had the courage to start.
Nearly 2,000 people, including 100 Silicon Labs employees and their families joined the inaugural Silicon Labs Sunshine Run on Sunday, April 26th. The Sunshine Run encourages active lifestyles in the community and helps keep Silicon Labs employees fit. Participants could join the 10K, 5K or 1K race and run or walk with their family, friends, co-workers and even dogs. $40,000 raised from the event will go toward the Austin Sunshine Camps which provides underprivileged youth the opportunity to experience camping, nature studies and social interaction.
Dozens of the Silicon Labs employees also volunteered at water stations. They cheered runners on during the 5K and 10K races.
The Silicon Labs’ company band also cheered the participants with rock music on the street to make them forget about their tired legs for a moment.
Whether it was a runner, volunteer, or a supporter, the Silicon Labs team appreciate all the participants who took part in the event and made it successful that many people enjoyed their time working out with other participants.
At Silicon Labs, we share our success with our employees and the community and give back to them. Check out our community page.
